東京都出身、岩見沢市栗沢町在住
東京芸術大学附属音楽高等学校を経て、同大学器楽科ピアノ専攻卒業。ショパン音楽大学(ポーラ ンド)に留学。
その後パリ(フランス)・エコールノルマル音楽院において高等演奏課程を審査員満場 一致で合格、
同音楽院コンサーティストディプロム取得。室内楽において同音楽院高等演奏課程を賛辞付き審査員満場一致で合格。
ピアノ教育連盟ピアノオーディション A 部門本選入賞、入賞者演奏会出演。北海道ショパンコンクール 小学生の部金賞・並びにカワイ音楽奨励賞受賞。全日本学生音楽コンクール中学生の部北海道本選 第3位、ローゼンストック国際ピアノコンクール奨励賞、ショパン国際ピアノコンクール inASIA コンチェ ルト B 部門銅賞、ベーテンピアノコンクール入選他多数受賞。
海外において、Concours Les Cles d'Or (category Excellence) 第 1 位、
Concours International Leopold Bellan 第3位、Concours International de piano de Chatou <Cecile Edel-Latos> 第3位受賞。
2018年エドワード・グリーグ国際ピアノコンクール(ノルウェー)出場。
ザルツブルグ・モーツァルテウム音楽院夏期国際音楽アカデミー(オーストリア)に参加、ショパン音楽 大学春期ピアノセミナー(ポーランド)にて修了コンサートに出演。
北海道を中心に演奏活動を行い、第16回旭川市新人音楽会、札幌三岸好太郎美術館ミニリサイタ ル、地元栗沢町にてソロリサイタルを開催。岩見沢では「街の音楽家による小さなコンサート」「ザ・ク ラシックコンサート岩見沢」に出演。また長沼町「はのん」にてサロンコンサートを開催。
演奏活動の傍ら後進の指導にあたる他、「ピアノセミナー in 由仁」にて 2012 年、2013 年、2016年 に講師を務める。
フランスにおいて、音楽院主催 midi et demi コンサート(salle Cortot)、Maire de 8eme、L'espace Bernanos、
St Philippe de Roule 教会、Center Tcheque de Paris、Cathedral Armeniens にてソロ、室内楽で 出演。
2019年ブザンソン国際フェスティバルにおいてソロリサイタル開催
エコールノルマル音楽院創立100周年記念演奏会において恩師カツァラヴァ氏と2台ピアノで共演。
2020年 日本演奏連盟主催新進演奏家育成プロジェクトリサイタルシリーズSAPPOROに出演、好評を博する。
2022年度道銀芸術文化奨励賞受賞、第３７回道銀ライラックコンサート札幌キタラ大ホールにて札幌交響楽団とグリーグのピアノ協奏曲を共演
これまでに室内楽を迫昭嘉、藤森亮一、クロード・ルロン、シャンタル・ドゥビュシー各氏に師事。
ピアノを、 岩崎むつみ、東誠三、黒山映、ガブリエル・タッキーノ、ブロニスワヴァ・カヴァラ、フィリップ・ラスキン、ギグラ・カツァラヴァ各氏 に師事。
Mayumi Iwata was born in Japan. She started playing the piano with Prof. Mutsumi Iwasaki at the age of 7.
She was admitted to the Tokyo University of the Arts, where she studied with Prof. Seizo Azuma. Later, she entered the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (Poland), where she studied under the guidance of Bronislawa Kawalla.
In 2014, she moved to Paris to study at the renowned École Normale de Musique "Alfred Cortôt" de Paris, where she studied with Prof. Guigla Katsarava. She obtained "Diplôme supérieur d'éxecution de piano à l'unanimité", "Diploma Superieur de Concertiste de piano" (the highest diploma of this institution) and "Diploma Superieur de musique de chambre "à l'unanimité avec les félicitations du jury». She also studied with Professor Philippe Raskin as private lesson.
She has received several awards, such as the 1st prize at the Concours Les Cles d'Or (France), the 3rd prize at the Concours International Leopold Bellanat (2018), 3rd prize at the Concours International de piano de Chatou "Cecile Edel-Latos" (2019) and participated the International Edvard Grieg Piano Competition, just to name a few.
She has given recitals in many festivals in Europe, such as the festival and venues such as "Musique de Besançon Franche-Comté", the festival for the 100th anniversary of L'Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris at the prestigious Salle Cortot, where she gave a concert for 2 pianos with Prof. Katsarava, L'eglise de Saint-Philipe du Roule in Paris, Taisetsu Crystal Hall in Asahikawa, Migishi Kotaro Museum of Art in Sapporo, just to name a few.
